Transportation Request Deadline – August 21, 2026

Will your student need to ride the bus during the 2026-2027 school year?

To ensure your student is included in transportation planning, all Transportation Request Forms must be submitted by Friday, August 21, 2026.

The Transportation Request Form is located in your student's FinalForms account.

Log in here: https://watervliet-mi.finalforms.com/

Submitting your request by the deadline helps us create efficient bus routes and ensure transportation is available on the first day of school.

A heartfelt thank you to the incredible staff at the Van Buren ISD for hosting an informational evening for our Watervliet families last night!

The event provided Spanish-speaking migrant families with valuable assistance enrolling their children in school while connecting them with a variety of important resources and support services. We are so grateful for the partnerships that help ensure every family feels welcomed, informed, and supported as they prepare for the new school year.

A special thank you to Angie Gutierrez and her dedicated team for the outstanding work they do throughout the summer and the school year to support our students and families. Your commitment, compassion, and advocacy make a meaningful difference in the lives of so many.

Please take a moment to check out the photos below from this wonderful event. We are proud to partner with organizations and individuals who help make our Panther community stronger!

Our hearts are with the families, friends, and all those whose lives have been touched by these recent losses. Grief is not something anyone should carry alone. If you or your child could benefit from a listening ear or a caring conversation, please know that you are welcome. As a Panther community, we will continue to care for one another, support one another, and walk through difficult times together. ❤️

job posting
This week, a dedicated group of educators completed the four-day Therapeutic Crisis Intervention for Schools (TCIS) training at Watervliet Public Schools.

The training was facilitated by Watervliet's own Mrs. Jamie Dawson and Ms. Christina Powers and included participants from Watervliet, Coloma, and St. Joseph. One of the highlights of the week was learning alongside educators from different districts, sharing ideas, experiences, and strategies to better support students.

We are proud of these educators for dedicating four days of their summer to strengthening their skills in relationship-building, de-escalation, crisis prevention, and student support.

Thank you to everyone who participated!

Mystery Solved at South

A Recent SOS message at South!

Mighty Panthers,
We are currently conducting an urgent (and slightly dramatic) search for our beloved classroom crab, who has mysteriously gone missing after being “borrowed.” At this time, we are unsure if he is on an adventure, a spiritual journey, or simply refusing to come back.

Description:
- Species: Extremely charming crab
- Personality: Loves long walks on the beach, deep conversations, and apparently… freedom
- Interests: Fish both as friends and snacks
- Favorite activities: Hanging out with Mrs. Trapp’s class, learning new things, and making his little crab brain grow bigger every day

If you have seen him, are currently harboring him, or know of his whereabouts, please let us know immediately. No questions asked.

Let’s bring our crab home so he can continue his educational journey and ease his best friend's worry.

Thank you for your cooperation in this critical crustacean situation. (Here is a photo of a crab similar but Mr. Crab is neon orange with a yellow belly. And his eyes pop out a little more from the head.**Picture included for identification purposes.)

Sincerely,
The Very Concerned Crab Community

UPDATE:
Mr. Crab has been successfully located. Turns out his Spring vacation lasted a bit longer than everyone else's. Not to worry though....he plans to be back to school tomorrow.

Shoutout to our two incredible elementary principals for bringing the school spirit last night! 🐴💙

They both went all in and kissed a donkey—yes, really! Even though Mrs. Wheeler drew the back end, she handled it like a champ and did a terrific job.

These ladies don’t always get the recognition they deserve for everything they do for students and staff, so this is a special Monday morning shoutout to them.

I’m truly proud to work alongside such dedicated, spirited leaders. #PantherPride
