During the month of December, the WHS Student Council sponsored a food drive to help the Watervliet Free Methodist Pantry help local families in need. The officers loaded up the items and they were delivered Thursday morning. A total of 1237 items were collected. First hour classes held a competition in order to collect the items. The winning class was Mrs. Riedinger with 341 items. Second place went to Mr. Steele's class with 200 items. Third place was Mr. Grear with 125. The winning class received a donut party on Friday. Many students used their own money to purchase the items that were donated. THANK YOU STUDENT COUNCIL!

The Middle School Interact Club assembled 55 goody bags for the senior center in Coloma this holiday season. On Monday, three of the club officers delivered the bags to Meals on Wheels in Benton Harbor for delivery! Pictured here are Madison Darling, McKaylen Laws, and Melanie Cervantes. Interact is a service organization sponsored by the Paw Paw Lake Rotary Club. The club has 25-- 7th and 8th grade members this year! The clubs thanks again those parents and community members who donated the items for the bags.

Please help if you can!

Last night our debate team finished up their season with every member who gave a speech taking home a placement in the top seven: Amber Robbins took 7th, JT Davis took 6th, and Mackenzie Birmele took 4th. In league placement, JT Davis took home a 2nd place trophy. The team will finish out their season with a trip to the state finals this weekend. Please wish them luck!
