MS Job Posting - 7th Grade Social Studies
Congratulations to the following athletes that participated in all kinds of weather over the weekend at the State Finals in Track and Field; Anya Sexton, Daniel Mandujano, Tia Caldwell, and Morgan Lowell. All 4 athletes have trained their whole high school career to compete against the rest of the state qualifiers, this weekend all of their hard work paid off.
Anya Sexton threw 129 feet placing her 3rd in discus. Great job, Anya, for being top 3 in the state!
Daniel Mandujano had a phenomenal run in the 1600m run with a time of 4 minutes and 27.29 seconds, just 1 second off of beating the school record. He also competed in the 3200m run with a time of 10 minutes and 2.08 seconds.
Tia Caldwell persevered in the 400m run with a time of 62.22 seconds.
Morgan Lowell ran steady in the 3200m run with a 10 second PR ending with a time of 11 minutes and 58.55 seconds.
Throughout the entire season these athletes have shown that hard work truly does pay off! The school, community, friends, family, teachers, and coaches are all extremely proud of you! Congratulations athletes!

Interact Officers and Members were recognized tonight at our annual Interact Induction and Celebration. Thank you to Paw Paw Lake Rotary President, Brandy Culverhouse for speaking to our Club. We are looking forward to the leadership of the 24-25 officers next year. We thank the 23-24 officers for their service to the club this year!

Our last stewardship visit to Sarett today allowed the group to remove Garlic Mustard, which is an invasive species to the area.

An Important Message From Watervliet Public Schools.

8th grade interacters spread wildflower seeds at Sarett today for their act of stewardship. Highlights were finding a box turtle, eating wild asparagus, and a killdeer who faked an injury to lure us away from her eggs.



Congratulations Kendra Goss! Kendra won a RESA Award for her artwork in the Box Factory Show.

7th grade Interacters are planting trees at the Sarett Nature Center today as a part of their ongoing stewardship project. The group even found a box turtle in the midst of our planting.

On May 1 at 6 pm in the High School Media Center, the Watervliet Public Schools learning community will have the opportunity to view proposed curriculum resources for the 2024-2025 school year. Specifically, the review will make available the following:
REAL ESSENTIALS - A sexual health curriculum for grades 5-12.
Reveal - A K-12 Math curriculum.
The Director of Curriculum will be available for questions at the public viewing.
Save the date for the 8th grade semi formal on Friday, May 3, 2024 from 7 - 9 pm. The cost is $5 and ONLY WMS 8th graders may attend.

These 5 Interact members volunteered time out of class today to clean up the cemetery, both parks, main street, and anything else in their sites along our 2 hour walk. Thank you Remington, Payton, McKaylen, Madison, and Katelynn for giving Mother Earth a little special attention today!
