Recently the CW Robotarians, made up primarily of students from Coloma and Watervliet High Schools, capped off their season by competing in the worldwide FIRST Championships in Houston, Texas.  WHS students Bryce Priebe, Nathan Litaker, and Max Stone were among the CW Robotarians who made the trip.

Kevin Russell, CW Tech Robotarians Mentor and CHS Robotics Advisor reports that after two days of qualification matches our local team finished 19th out of 76 with a record of 5-4-1 in the Galileo field.   While the team was not selected to compete in the elimination rounds, they put forth great effort to have their robot ready, collect data for strategies, encourage and cheer on their teammates, and make the most of the opportunity to participate.

While attending the event, the students got to interact with students from around the world, including middle school and elementary level robotics teams. The Innovation Faire had companies displaying their products and technologies.  There was also a "scholarship row" where the students could learn about scholarship and post-high school funding opportunities.

The team would like to thank everyone who supported them this year.   They are already looking forward to next season!
