Bond Construction Update 9/18/26

We're excited to share another update on the progress of our community-supported bond projects!

Since our last update, construction on the new middle school cafeteria and WAY addition has continued to move forward. Much of the work right now is focused on building the foundation and installing the underground systems that will support the new addition for years to come.

While some of these improvements won't be visible once construction is complete, they are essential to creating a safe, reliable, and long-lasting facility for our students and staff.

Middle School Cafeteria & WAY Addition

We've reached several important milestones in the construction of our new cafeteria and WAY addition.

● The concrete foundation and supporting walls for the cafeteria have been completed.

● Interior footings and the north exterior foundation wall are now complete, providing the structural support needed for the new addition.

● Large underground stormwater drainage basins have been installed to help manage rainwater and prevent water from collecting around the new building.

● Existing roof drains have been connected to new underground piping to direct rainwater away from the building.

● These improvements may not be the most exciting parts of construction to watch, but they are critical steps in preparing the site for the next phases of the project.

We're looking forward to seeing the new cafeteria and WAY addition continue to take shape as construction progresses throughout the school year.

Looking Ahead

While work continues on the cafeteria and WAY addition, we're also preparing for the next phases of our voter-approved bond projects.

Upcoming milestones include:

● Spring 2027: Renovations to the high school girls' locker room are scheduled to begin.

● Summer 2027: Construction of the new elementary STEM additions is scheduled to begin, providing additional spaces to support hands-on learning opportunities for our students.
