Bond Construction Update 9/8/26
We’re excited to share another update on the progress of our community supported bond projects.
Over the summer, we talked quite a bit about the important infrastructure work happening behind the scenes, work that wasn’t always easy to see. We’ve now reached a point where some of those improvements are benefiting students and staff every day, while other parts of the bond project are becoming much more visible.
Middle/High School HVAC Upgrades
We’re happy to report that all 33 new classroom heating and cooling units are now installed and fully operational with air conditioning.
This was a major focus throughout the summer and represents an important investment in creating more comfortable learning environments for our students and staff.
Elementary Security Upgrades
Our elementary security improvements are also nearing completion. The new security doors are now 99% complete, bringing another important safety component of the bond project to the finish line.
Cafeteria & WAY Addition
Perhaps the most noticeable progress is now happening behind the middle school.
Construction on the new cafeteria and WAY addition is officially underway. Excavation for the foundations has been completed, and concrete footings for the new addition have been placed.
Unlike some of the infrastructure work completed this summer, this is a part of the project our community will be able to watch take shape as construction continues throughout the school year.
Looking Ahead
Work on the cafeteria and WAY addition will continue in the months ahead. The next major phase identified in the current construction schedule is the high school girls’ locker room renovation, scheduled to begin in Spring 2027.
We’re excited about the progress being made and even more excited to see these projects begin benefiting our students and staff.
