The Watervliet Public Schools Board of Education is pleased to announce the finalists in its search for the district’s next superintendent.

The Board recently interviewed six highly qualified candidates and was impressed by the experience, leadership, and professionalism demonstrated by each. After careful deliberation, the Board identified two candidates who rose to the top and will move forward in the final phase of the selection process.

The finalists and their scheduled visits are as follows:

  • Mrs. Wendy Tremblay, Junior High School Principal, Coloma Community Schools – Monday, March 23

  • Mr. Craig Thornton, High School Principal, Parchment School District – Tuesday, March 24

Each candidate’s visit will begin with tours of Watervliet Public Schools facilities and the surrounding community. The schedule will also include opportunities for stakeholder engagement:

  • 3:30 PM – Meet and Greet with WPS Employees

  • 4:30 PM – Community Meet and Greet

  • 6:00 PM – Formal Board Interview

The Board of Education encourages staff, families, and community members to participate in these events. Attendees will have the opportunity to provide feedback to assist the Board in its final decision-making process.

The Board extends its appreciation to all candidates who participated in the process and to the community for its continued support and involvement.
