Superintendent Ric Seager and Board of Ed. President Bill Spaulding presenting The Panther Pride Award to North Elementary School Principal Carole Fetke

The Watervliet Board of Education is proud to announce that North Elementary School Principal Carole Fetke has been selected as the latest recipient of the Panther Pride Award.

Fetke was presented with a certificate at Monday's Board meeting in recognition of her service to the WPS District where she has served in several roles since joining the team in 2010.  In her time with WPS, she served as the District Curriculum Director, South Elementary Principal, and Mentor, and has most recently suspended her retirement to serve as the Intern Principal for North Elementary School.

Fetke has distinguished herself throughout her career as a tireless advocate for students and teachers.  Superintendent Ric Seager noted that "Mrs. Fetke is among the most knowledgeable, capable, and hard-working administrators I have ever had the pleasure of working with....but the greatest role she has played is being a selfless, humble, and tireless advocate of public education and an exceptional example of servant leadership."

Fetke's career spans over 40 years where she has served as a teacher, CTE Director, Principal, and Curriculum Director, and has helped build the careers of dozens of proteges who also claim Carole as a major influence in their growth and development.

We extend our congratulations and gratitude to Panther Pride Awardee Mrs. Carole Fetke.
