Lots of WPS Elementary School kids and their parents came out for a fun evening and a chance to win some books at the Holiday Book Bingo event yesterday. Every child in attendance left the event with at least one book and parents took away some pointers on how to get the most out of reading to their children. Gumdrop the Elf even made an appearance to read to everyone!
The Holiday Book Bingo event supports Watervliet Public Schools' literacy initiative encouraging kids to read.
