Watervliet Public Schools is excited to inform families that DHHS and Michigan Department of Education are extending the Summer EBT benefits by collecting and using the Household Benefit Form for this school year 2023-2024 for those families who do not currently receive Supplemental Nutrition Program (formerly known as food stamps) funds.

What this means for you and your family is that if you have not completed the Education Benefit Form for school year 2023-2024 you will need to do so. Families who are receiving SNAP benefits will not need to fill out the form.

However, completion of the form does not automatically qualify your student for the summer benefits, these benefits will be based on annual incomes as noted by you on this form.

Families who have filled out the form and have had lifestyle changes in their income since the beginning of the year and believe they may be considered for the Summer EBT benefits, will need to fill out the form and return it to their students building secretary no later than February 9th, 2024.

Please note this is strictly for summer benefits and in no way prevents our students from receiving free breakfast and lunch at school.

The Education Benefits form is linked HERE.   Please print the form, complete it, and return it to:
