Good evening
Due to staffing shortfalls related to illness, we must close all Watervliet Public Schools on Tuesday, January 25th.
Tomorrow will be treated like a snow day, with no students or staff reporting.
School leaders will work to make plans for Wednesday and beyond. The options we will be considering include:
* opening schools with limited or delayed bus runs;
* opening schools with families needing to provide their own transportation;
* keeping schools closed through Thursday,
* or providing remote instruction for Wednesday and Thursday.
You will receive a message from Watervliet Schools with these next steps.
Again, please look for information tomorrow afternoon regarding our next steps.
Thank you

We were on three days of students not being required to wear masks. Unfortunately, we had a positive case today at North. Starting Monday (11/1), students will be required to wear masks again. Please send a mask with your child. If 14 days pass where there are no positive cases, then students will not be required to wear masks again. This is ONLY for indoor activities. Not for lunch, recess or mask breaks. This is in accordance with our School Board Return to Learn Plan.
As of Wednesday, 10/27, North Elementary is only STRONGLY RECOMMENDING mask wearing for students. We have surpassed the two week threshold for COVID cases. We are not requiring it. However, if there is another case within our building, we will go back to requiring masks for 14 days and the process starts over. This is in accordance to our School Board Return to Learn Plan. Thank you, Mr. Tiefenbach
Thank you to our volunteers from the PTO that worked our book fair! What an amazing success!! We had a lots of books in lots of students hands!!
