CONGRATULATIONS to your SOPHOMORE September 2023 Student of the Month--Miss Emy Baldwin! In my family I have my grandma, papa, mom, dad, my 2 sisters, and my brother. My grandma and grandpa are the best obviously. They encourage me and make sure I do everything to the best of my abilities. My mom and dad are amazing and always make sure I have everything I need to succeed, and never fail to show that they care. My 2 sisters Gabby and Maddie and my brother Nathan are my mini me’s. They are my best friends and my favorite people. My favorite teacher is Mrs. Simmons. She is my favorite teacher because she is super sweet and always makes her class fun. She also gives her students many opportunities and is encouraging. My favorite class is geometry. I’ve always loved math even when I struggle and once you get the hang of it, it’s fun. I’m in Interact, debate, newspaper, and I play softball. For fun I eat tacos, give anyone that will listen in my house free concerts, and spend time with my family. After high school I want to go to college to be a veterinarian. I am proud to be a WHS panther because that's where all the cool kids go. Also because of the education I receive and the friendships i’ve made along the way.

Cool Kicks Art II students began the year by getting back into observational drawing. This is an essential skill for art. Students took off their shoes and used them as their subject. We began by looking for the big shapes that the shoes were made of, followed by the challenge of the details. We also worked on sight measuring, drawing lightly and being patient and positive with ourselves.
