YOUR JUNIOR MAY 2024 Student of the Month--JUDITH AGUILERA!
I have two supporting parents and 2 sisters. My favorite class is Anatomy because we learn many different things there and it's taught by one of my favorite teachers which is Mrs.O'toole, her class always makes me feel very welcomed and I know I can ask her anything if I ever need help with something. During my free time I like to go outside, walk around, and listen to music. After high school I plan on going to college and entering a Law Enforcement Academy. I am proud to be a WHS panther because there are so many great teachers and students here.

YOUR FRESHMEN MAY 2024 Student of the Month --HAILEY ADAMS!
My family includes me, my dad, my mom, and my sisters-- Mckinley and Felicity. McKinley is in 6th grade and Felicity is in 2nd grade.
This year my favorite class has been art because I like to make different projects and be creative.
My favorite teacher has been Mrs. Simmons because I have had her for the past two years and I can talk to her comfortably and she is very nice.
I play basketball, run cross country, and do track and field. I am in the SAC, and student council.
In my free time, I like to work with my horse Levi.
My plan after high school is to go to LMC for a business degree.
I am proud to be a WHS Panther because the people here are nice and kind. I am proud because of the things we can accomplish and have accomplished.

Congratulations to the Track Distance team for their outstanding performances at the recent Distance Night under the Lights event! Morgan Lowell, Kimmie Romero, Marissa Lowell, Ian Coleman, Ezequiel Cardoza, Daniel Mandujano, along with our middle schoolers Tony Perez and Sam Casciano, showcased their talents with remarkable personal bests. A special shoutout goes to Daniel Mandujano for shattering a school record that stood since 1995, clocking in at 9:38.68 for the 3200M. Congratulations to all our Panthers on their incredible achievements

YOUR SOPHOMORE MAY 2024 Student of the Month --JACOB SHUNKWILER!
My mom is an occupational therapist at Corewell Health Hospital in St. Joe and my dad is a maintenance worker at the same hospital which help me throughout high school. My sister Ella goes to college at Lake Michigan College and my other sister is going to GVSU.
Since I don't have one favorite class I will talk about my two favorite classes. One of my favorite class is history with Mr. Andrews. I like this class because history has always been one of my favorite classes forever and I really just enjoy learning about the history of the United States and all around the world. My other favorite class is Biology with Mrs.O'Toole. I like this class because it is always easy for me to understand topics like Ecology and Evolution.
My Favorite teacher is Mr. Andrews. He is my favorite teacher because during History he is very straight forward with the lessons and doesn't get sidetracked, which I really appreciate because it allows me to better understand the topics and get things done. He is also very nice to each and everyone of the students in my class, which creates a great and relaxed atmosphere in the class.
At Watervliet I participate in varsity soccer, but have recently branched out to the St.Joe Kickers club and do an outdoor team as well as indoor there.
Something I like to do in my free time is spend time with my family whether that be just at my house watching a movie with them or going on a walk with them. Another thing I like to do in my free time is go swimming at forest beach during the summer. I also really like to go and practice soccer with my friends at the high school field.
After high school I am planning on finishing out my 5th year for the EMC and getting my associates. After that I plan to move on to a 4 year college like Ferris or GVSU. After that I plan to either work as a Financial Advisor or a Teacher.
I am proud to be a Panther because I am able to follow in my grandpa's footprints as a Watervliet Panther.
