The Varsity Panthers earned an impressive 5-0 win over Decatur on Wednesday behind a dominant outing from Emma Kirksey, who threw a complete-game no-hitter with six strikeouts and no walks. Offensively, Watervliet collected 10 hits, led by Kaylee Bartee with a single, double, and RBI. Kendle Kiefer added two hits and an RBI, while Kirksey, Madison Eberhard, and Rae Prestidge also contributed at the plate.
The Lady Panthers capped the night with a dominant 20-3 win behind an 11-hit attack and strong pitching from Emma Kirksey, who earned her 12th win, while Mackenzie Birmele secured the save. Leila Liberto-Taylor led the offense with a single, triple, and five RBI, while Aiyanna Forrester drove in three runs. Madison Eberhard and Ava Trapp each added two hits and two RBI as the Panthers improved to 20-11 on the season.
🎓 Senior Information
Senior exams are this week unless you qualify for exemptions through the “3 and a B” or “5 and an A” policy. Once you complete your exam in a class, if you are all set with the class and passing, you do not need to return to the class later in the week. Seniors will have exams in periods 4 and 5 today.
This Friday at 3:10 PM is the deadline for seniors to be passing all required classes in order to participate in graduation ceremonies.
Don’t forget, the Virtue Club will be meeting in the HS gym tomorrow at 7:30AM. Come, Join us for breakfast, we can’t wait to see you.
Seniors should pick up checkout sheets from Mrs. Bruce or the main office today. Checkout forms must be completed during passing time or with teachers during class — students may not leave class to complete them.They are due to Mrs. Richcreek this Friday at 9:30 AM.
This Friday all seniors will board a bus at 10 am and head to South, North, the MS and then the HS to process through the buildings. Wear your cap and gown to this event.
The senior parade starts at 4pm at the old mill site. You can wear a cap and gown and you can decorate your car.
The senior sunset is from 6:30-11 at Camp Ronora. All school rules apply.
