Baseball
Varsity Baseball swept Michigan Lutheran on Senior Night, winning 8-1 and 7-4. In Game 1, Owen Williams tossed a complete game with 9 strikeouts while allowing just 3 hits. Cael Morris led the offense with a double and two singles, while Cayden Ryan and Brayden Harasewicz added two hits each. In Game 2, freshman Hayden Billings earned his first varsity win with 4 strikeouts. Brayden Harasewicz collected two hits, while Ethan Westfall and Nate Harasewicz added one each. The Panthers improved to 25-6-1 overall and clinched the SAC Lakeshore title at 11-1.
Softball
The Watervliet Panthers celebrated Senior Night with a 10-4 win over Michigan Lutheran. Seniors Sienna Bulat, Kendle Kiefer, Leila Liberto-Taylor, and Madison Eberhard were honored before the game. Kendle Kiefer and Emma Kirksey each had two hits, while Rea Prestidge added two hits and two RBIs. Ava Trapp led the offense with a home run, single, and two RBIs. Kaylee Bartee and Sienna Bulat each tripled, and Kirksey earned the win in the circle.
Watervliet capped off a Senior Night sweep of Michigan Lutheran with a 20-10 win, collecting 16 hits. Kaylee Bartee led the way with a single, triple, homer, and five RBIs, while Sienna Bulat added three hits. Freshman Sophia Radar recorded her first varsity hit, and Ava Thomas earned the win as the Panthers improved to 18-11.
🎓 Senior Information
Senior exams are this week unless you qualify for exemptions through the “3 and a B” or “5 and an A” policy. Once you complete your exam in a class, if you are all set with the class and passing, you do not need to return to the class later in the week. Seniors will have exams in periods 4 and 5 today.
This Friday at 3:10 PM is the deadline for seniors to be passing all required classes in order to participate in graduation ceremonies.
Seniors should pick up checkout sheets from Mrs. Bruce or the main office today. Checkout forms must be completed during passing time or with teachers during class — students may not leave class to complete them.They are due to Mrs. Richcreek this Friday at 9:30 AM.
This Friday all seniors will board a bus at 10 am and head to South, North, the MS and then the HS to process through the buildings. Wear your cap and gown to this event.
The senior parade starts at 4pm at the old mill site. You can wear a cap and gown and you can decorate your car.
The senior sunset is from 6:30-11 at Camp Ronoroa. All school rules apply.
