Sports Update
Soccer
The Watervliet girls soccer team opened conference play with a hard-fought loss at Bridgman, battling well and creating chances but unable to finish. The defense stayed organized under pressure, but Bridgman capitalized on key opportunities. Watervliet returns home Thursday to host Black River.
Girls Track
The Lady Panthers split their conference meet with South Haven and Saugatuck, highlighted by strong individual performances. Miranda Lowell won the pole vault and both hurdle events, Mya Hood took first in both throws, and Braelyn Campbell won the long jump and 200. New PRs were set by Daijahnae Hatcher, Marissa Lowell, Angelica Daisy, Miranda Lowell, Makenzie Driver, Braelyn Campbell, Adelyn Campbell, Daniella Romero, and Alayna Cowgill.
