📢 Announcements

  • Junior class officers will be selling prom tickets after school today until 3:30 PM and again Friday during lunch.

  • Teachers will be reviewing classroom expectations during 2nd hour this week:

    Be on time and prepared with a charged Chromebook. Stay engaged, positive, and respectful—no phones, earbuds, or profanity. Follow directions, remain seated until dismissed, and respect others and the space.

  • After school homework help is available today and Thursday.

Due to Tech Center and college schedules:

  • Full Senior Class Photo: Tuesday at 10:00 AM in the gym (t-shirts will be provided)

  • Top 10 & Senior Scholars: Wednesday at 10:00 AM in the main office area (dress up attire required)


Sports Update

Baseball:

Tyler Jarvis earned his first varsity win in Game 1 with relief from Landon Schlipp, allowing just three hits. The Panthers tallied 12 hits, with multiple hits from Caleb Jewell, Brayden Harasewicz, Nate Harasewicz, and Brayden Symonds.

In Game 2, Owen Williams secured his first varsity win with relief from Brayden Harasewicz, striking out 10 and allowing three hits. Jewell led the offense with a triple and single, while B. Harasewicz added a triple.

Watervliet improves to 5-3 overall (2-0 SAC Lakeshore).

Softball:

The Varsity ladies opened SAC-Lakeshore play with a dominant 14-0 win over Fennville in Game 1.

Emma Kirksey earned the win, tossing a five-inning one-hitter with 10 strikeouts. Offensively, Ava Trapp led the way with a triple and two RBIs, while Rae Prestidge added a single and two RBIs. Kirksey and Madison Eberhard also contributed hits.

The Panthers set the tone early with strong hitting and pitching to start conference play.

The Lady Panthers completed the doubleheader sweep with an 11-1 win over Fennville in SAC-Lakeshore play.

Mackenzie Birmele earned the win, allowing two hits and one run over six innings while striking out four. Madison Eberhard led the offense with a single, double, and two RBIs, while Leila Liberto-Taylor added a triple and two RBIs.

Defensively, Rae Prestidge and Kate Kostrzewa helped secure an error-free game.

Watervliet improves to 7-2 overall (2-0 SAC-Lakeshore) and will host Allegan on Thursday.

🎓 Senior Reminder – Testing Day

  • No school for seniors on Thursday, April 16th

  • Tech Center attendance is optional (transportation available if needed)

  • Please complete your Decision Day slide (check your email)

📚 Testing for Grades 9–11

  • All students must bring a fully charged device

  • 9th & 10th graders return to class after testing

  • 11th graders will be dismissed after testing

  • Juniors: this is your one free college entrance exam

  • Guest passes are available in the main office

  • Deadline: April 24th

  • No freshmen allowed
