🏆 Sports Update

Varsity Softball:  The Panthers dropped game one of their doubleheader to Gobles, 12–4. Sienna Bulat recorded a single, while Leila Liberto-Taylor and Emma Kirksey each tripled and drove in a run.

Ava Thomas took the loss in the circle as the Tigers capitalized on key opportunities. The Panthers will look to bounce back in game two.

JV Softball:  Big First Inning Powers JV Panthers Past Gobles

The Watervliet JV Panthers exploded for 17 runs in the first inning and added nine more in the second to defeat Gobles 26-7 on Wednesday.

Brooklyn Woollett earned the win in the circle, striking out five. The Panthers showed great plate discipline with 20 walks and were aggressive on the bases with 28 stolen bases.

Sophia Rader led the offense, going 3-for-3. Olivia Lurkins, Aubrey Winnell, and Brooklyn Wallace each drove in two runs, while multiple Panthers contributed hits and RBIs in a dominant team effort.

 In Game Two, the ladies bounced back with a 15-0 win over Gobles on Wednesday, scoring early and often.

Layla Klimkiewicz earned the win, allowing just two hits over three scoreless innings with six strikeouts. Sophia Rader and Aiyanna Forrester each had two hits, with Rader driving in two runs. The Panthers showed patience at the plate with 11 walks and aggressive base running, tallying 15 stolen bases.
