Sports Update
Soccer:
Watervliet earned a hard-fought victory over Covert in a game marked by cold weather and a squad operating with limited depth. Despite having fewer players, the team displayed determination and smart play throughout the match. Marley Alsup would score her first goal of the season, just 3 minutes into the game, after a key pass from Katelyn Brown would place her right in front of goal to put the Panthers in the lead. Ten minutes later, Katelyn would add a goal of her own to put the Panthers up by two. Alex Zuniga played a key role in the midfield and the team’s defensive discipline was crucial in maintaining control and keeping Covert’s opportunities to a minimum. The team will have a short recovery as they face Schoolcraft tomorrow evening at home for a 5pm kickoff.

🇺🇸 Pledge of Allegiance
Please stand. This day is made possible by those who have fought and continue to fight for the freedoms we enjoy. Let’s show respect and honor their efforts by standing, placing our hand over our heart, and reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. If you are wearing a hat or cap, please remove it.
I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands: one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
🎉 That’s all for today—
🐾 Make it a great day or not, Panthers—the choice is yours!
