📣 Student Announcement: Women Who Inspire Us Week

Next week, Watervliet High School will be celebrating Women Who Inspire Us Week, a student-led initiative organized by a team of our female students. Throughout the week, there will be activities and opportunities to recognize the many women who inspire us in our lives and communities.

To kick things off, Monday is Wear Purple Day! Purple is a color often associated with women and women’s leadership. If you are wearing more than half purple, stop by the office and you will earn a free coupon.

We are also collecting pictures of women in your personal life who you admire or inspire you. If you email Ms. Powers a picture of a female who inspires you anytime during the week, you will also earn a free coupon. This could be a family member, teacher, coach, historical figure, or someone in your life who has made a difference.

Be sure to listen to the announcements each day next week so you know what other fun activities are coming up as we celebrate Women Who Inspire Us Week!

🇺🇸 Please Stand for the Pledge of Allegiance

At this time, please stand. The privilege of this day is possible because of those who have fought — and continue to fight — for the freedoms we enjoy. Please place your right hand over your heart and remove any hats or caps.

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands: one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Those are all of the announcements for today.

Make it a great day or not, Panthers — the choice is yours. 🐾
