Golden Apple Award: Celebrating IT Director Jimmie Paskel's Retirement
On Monday, December 8, retiring staff member Jimmie Paskel was honored with the Golden Apple at the Board of Education meeting, recognizing his 25 years of dedicated service to the Watervliet Public School District. Board President Bill Spaulding and Interim Superintendent Kevin Schooley represented the Board and Administration, presenting the Golden Apple to Jimmie Paskel.
Jimmie has been the quiet force behind our technology, ensuring our systems and platforms run reliably. He has guided us through technology upgrades, platform adjustments, and leveraging e-rate funds. While many know him for answering daily tech questions, his dedication often extended far beyond the workday, frequently resolving complex issues late into the night.
We will not only miss his invaluable technical skill set but, more importantly, his incredible attitude and work ethic. The entire Watervliet community wishes Jimmie the very best as he embarks on his next chapter.
