ATTENTION:
The first step for families wishing to register their child for virtual courses is to contact the school counselor for registration information.
 
Please note, all enrollments in virtual courses must be managed by Watervliet Public Schools and all registrations must be approved by our counselors.

Students in grades K-5 may be enrolled in virtual courses from the courses shown in the above link provided by Accelerate Education. Full-time virtual students select the four "core" courses (ELA, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies) and two (2) electives from the Arts and Music, Health and P.E., or Technology offerings. Materials lists are provided. WPS will work with the parents to assure students have the materials that they need from the provided lists for each grade and course. Contact your school's guidance counselor for more details.
 
WPS pays the tuition for virtual courses up to 1/15th the state foundation grant per course. In most cases, the amount allocated is sufficient to cover the course tuition charged by the vendor. Some courses, however, do have costs above this amount. Students may be enrolled for these courses but will be required to reimburse the district for course costs above the district maximum. 
Students in grades 6-8 may choose virtual courses from the catalog of courses for Lincoln Learning. Click the link below to see the list of courses and options for middle school virtual students. Courses must have a "Teacher-Provided" option to qualify for enrollment at WMS.

Students in grades 9-12 may choose virtual courses from this catalog of courses and from the following vendors. Use the filters at the top of the content box to filter your search by Teacher-provided. the content area you want to search, and the provider from the list below.

  2. Lincoln Learning
  3. Michigan Virtual - Min GPA Requirement
  4. University of Nebraska High School - Adv Placement ONLY
