Mrs. Andrews' Sixth Grade Math Class
Welcome to my 6th Grade Math Classroom!
My name is Lauren Andrews and I have been teaching math in Watervliet for 14 years. I have two young kids named Cedric and Jocelyn, and my husband Jeremy has been teaching history in Watervliet High School for 16 years.
I am passionate about teaching math and would like to help as many students one on one as possible. However, if you are looking for ways your students can get some extra practice at home, I have a few great resources for you.
www.ixl.com: IXL is a great resource for your student to get some extra practice on many different math concepts. Every student I have in class has an account. They should all be aware of their usernames and passwords.
www.bigideasmath.com: Our textbook is through the Big Ideas Math series. Every student has a username and password. If your student ever forgets their textbook in their locker, they can access every page of our math book online. They can also take assigned practice tests and quizzes through the Big Ideas site.
www.khanacademy.com: Khan Academy is a completely free website that has videos and practice problems in case your student has difficulty with what they were taught in class that day.
