2018-19 Box Factory Awards

The WHS art department has some exciting news to share. At this year’s Box Factory High School Show Watervliet was once again recognized for its talented students. Moriah Rao was one of the big winners of the exhibition. She received a 1st place award for her newspaper self portrait and the Emerging Artist award with a $500 cash prize.  Kelsey Allen won 2nd place in the three dimensional category for a large paper and reed lantern. And Alyssa Schlender won a community art award for her colored pencil drawing of a dragon. Congratulations also go out to the 20 other art students that also had their art included in the show
